Biographical Sketches

Barkev received his Bachelor’s in 2011 from the Southern California Institute of Architecture where he was awarded consecutive scholarships for his portfolio and graduated with distinction for his academic achievements. Since then, he has contributed to meaningful, impactful, and sustainable projects with select design studios that have garnered recognition from the American Institute of Architects. 

He has built a career at the intersection of architecture, interiors, and real estate development. He is a registered architect in the state of California, certified by the National Council for Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He also holds interior design certification (NCIDQ) and is a California-licensed real estate professional.

Barkev has additionally earned multiple industry-recognized credentials pertaining to project management (PMP), evidence-based design (EDAC), wellness (WELL AP), environmental strategies (SITES AP), and sustainability (LEED AP across all five specialties). These qualifications enable him to bring a comprehensive, holistic approach to development strategies.

His diverse credentials reflect his belief that achieving excellence in project execution requires mindful consideration of sustainability, and an understanding of its impact on both our prosperity as a species and the balance between our natural environment and the built world.
